Teams Admin Center - Error when creating Shared Channel
As a Global Admin I just tried to create a Shared Channel from the Teams Admin Center, I get the error "We can't add the channel right now. Try again."
It doesn't work through GUI and Powershell.
Microsoft Support was unable to help me either (for now).
We have a workaround: Owners can add Channels through the Microsoft Teams Client (or web). But as Global Admins we cannot. We used to be able to do so, and that's something I'd expect.
Anyone experienced anything similar?

I'm not sure if anyone has found a workaround for this issue but we have.
So the root cause seems to be that Teams Admin won't let you add someone as the owner to a shared channel if they aren't already an owner of the Team itself. You'll have to change their role to owner of the team first and then it will no longer give you the error. You'll only need to do this for one person since you can add everyone as a member after the channel is created and then change their role to owner with no error.Hope this helps!
