Soft Focus is (Suddenly) Unavailable for Some Users

Some users are suddenly getting this when attempting to use soft focus, though they were able to use it in the past.  We (IT) haven't made any specific changes that I know of that would affect this.  Does anyone know what has changed within Teams and why it's mentioning network connection?  (Users are of course able to join their meeting with video, just not soft focus.)

  • BTW, user's Teams version is 25060.205.3499.6849.  One user on that version can use soft focus, the other can't.  The one who cannot has a more powerful laptop than the one who can.  We also have someone in IT who can't use it, even though they are on the same hardware as another IT person who can.

    Why would soft focus be somehow dependent on the network connection?  (As mentioned in the error.)

    ...and now we have users who have it stuck on, with the same error.

    Is there some type of network connectivity that's needed to store or replicate settings changes?  Could this be a network filtering issue?
