Public Team can't add members/guests

Hello

we have a few Teams that are private, and one that is public. in all the other channels we have no issue adding members or guests.

In the public Team we can't add members nor guests.

If i go to the pecific guest i want to add to that channel (she is already in another Team of ours) it keeps saying: "Something went wrong. The user wasn’t added to the teams you selected."

I am using an admin account, guests are enabled, b2b is enabled. all setting are good. otherwise we couldn't add her to the other teams as a guest user.

What could be the issue?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regard

Nele

So the solution to this was quite embarrassing. There was a group delegation policy active on this.... meaning I had to change the delegation policy to make sure my person could be added to this group. No bugs, just a policy on a group.

  • nelesmits If it is a public team the person could add herself. Would need to see more info on how you are trying to add. If it is guest it could be something in teams settings not allowing guests.

Do you have more info like screenshots etc?

      Hi

yes i can provide you with screenshots. I do want to add that we CAN add the guest to the private Teams we have. just not this one public Team. I tried using the Microsoft Teams admin portal. and in Teams.

but as you can see, she is in another Team:

I am an Owner in all these Teams. As well as Admin user in the admin 365 environment. I already checked if guests are allowed, and they are. As well is she a guest user in the endpoint users. and has accepted the invite to be a guest user.

I hope this helps to help me.

      Thanks in advance.

What have you set the Sensitivity label (in the Team settings) as?

I believe that you should be able to achieve what you want if you make it 'None'
