Hi IngeBakker,
Yes, you can link an existing group calendar in Outlook with a Teams channel.
Here's how you can do it:1. In Microsoft Teams, navigate to the desired channel where you want to add the group calendar.
2. Click on the "+" icon to add a new tab to the channel.
3. In the pop-up window that appears, select the "Website" option.
4. Provide a name for the tab and enter the URL of the group calendar in the "URL" field. Note that the URL should be the web address of the group calendar in Outlook.5. Click on the "Save" button to add the tab to the channel.
Once the tab is added, it will display the group calendar within the Teams channel. Users can click on the tab to view and interact with the calendar directly from Teams.
To obtain the URL for the group calendar in Outlook, you can follow these steps:
- Find the Calendar URL. Log into the Outlook Web App (https://outlook.office365.com/)
- Select the Group you want the calendar for:
- After the Group mailbox loads, click “Calendar”:
- Copy the URL from your browser (make sure you see “/group/GROUPNAME@domain/calendar”):

LeonPavesic This used to work - I've done it successfully in the past. But I can no longer capture a URL for a group calendar. The instructions in the previous post don't reflect what currently happens in OWA. I can capture a URL for a group mailbox, but not for a group calendar. When I switch from the group mailbox to the calendar, the URL changes completely to this very generic one: https://outlook.office365.com/calendar/view/month
Has anybody else come across the same issue?
I see that Microsoft are working on a 'New Groups' experience - I wonder if this is relevant to the problem?- LynnProspectBrass Contributor
Also... the group calendars that I've previously embedded in Classic Teams behave differently in New Teams. The calendars no longer display within a Teams tab. Instead, we see an option to open it in a browser, as shown in this screenshot.

LeonPavesic seems like the URLs for group calendars just will not resolve, even with @domainname in the URL
- TNCatDaddyCopper ContributorWhen I follow this procedure, I just get a big blank page in my Teams client. Really disappointing. 😞

The process above no longer works so I'm "unsolving" this request. It's a common one that is on the backlog. First a new calendar experience that allows you to see multiple calendars like Outlook and then items like this. I've wanted this myself for a long time. It will get there but I do not yet have a date.
