New Teams - Video freezing
I'm just updating with some new behaviour on this one. I continued to experience the freezing behaviour until late December, whereupon I now have a new issue in that I can see neither my own video nor any participant video when in calls using the new Teams.
When going into Teams settings and checking video the camera works just fine there, and minimising the main Teams window on a call results in video working on the smaller preview window.
With the new Teams removing options like disabling hardware video acceleration it's a bit trickier to narrow things down. From the searches I've done so far, it seems this issue is affecting people with dedicated graphics cards, as with many of us experiencing the original issue of freezing video here.
Just looking to see if anyone else has seen this as a linked behaviour with the original issue here.

Are you new to this thread or did it just start behaving differently? It looks like everyone who has this is using a software package called Nahimic, which is packaged in a lot of OEM audio drivers such as from Asus, MSI and Dell. I detailed how to fix it on newer versions near the bottom of page 7. There are some people with older versions who say they can't find the file with the exclusions, and I don't have one of those to play with, so I can't help much there.
Look for an "A-Volute" folder under C:\ProgramData, or a service with Nahimic in the name. If you find either of these, the fix is near the bottom of page 7.
For a while there was a Teams version that had video issues even with that applied, but it looks like the newest one is good.
The root cause is something to do with drawing video overlays over Teams, so there could well be other software that does this, too.We (as in those of us who have been discussing this for a while) also noticed that mostly people having this issue have non-integrated video, but I think that's just because those systems tend to have better sound chips with drivers that have more features, which Nahimic provides functionality for.

I'd replied a few times earlier in the thread - this was it just behaving differently.
I've gone through those steps you suggested and will need to do some more testing with other folks tomorrow but trying this with two of my own accounts on different devices, it seems that fix works for this issue as well.
Interesting correlation at work here and you make a great point about the better chipsets being the common issue.
Many thanks!
