New Teams - Video freezing
Update: Updated my NVIDIA drivers (upgraded to GeForce Game Ready Driver 546.01) with latest from October 31, 2023 and that resolved the issue for me. I'd previously updated them about 1-2 months ago.
- karen_dredskeNov 09, 2023Iron ContributorI've had this issue and the solution once I updated to new Teams was to make sure that I uninstalled Teams classic. Once I removed the Classic version of Teams all these issues went away. I think there is some kind of a bug that is causing a problem having both versions of the software on a computer. I've had several colleagues experience the same issues and once they uninstalled Teams Classic everything was fine.
- Caddant64Nov 09, 2023Copper ContributorThank you. So far so good for me, uninstalling classic version. On a call now, and no freezing. There was an initial freeze but, it was very brief and went back to normal on it's own.

Read the comments and gave it another try. Installed New Teams once again. Uninstalled Teams Classic. Updated the Nvidia driver to studio and then back to game ready - for some reason, the game ready driver was stuck on 02/28/2023 version. Now, it's 10/31/2033.
No more freezing. Only freezes for the first second after the meeting starts. Then everything works, including shared screen by others.
As someone mentioned above, the web version of new teams has been working without those freezing issues
- HuguesCrepinNov 09, 2023Copper ContributorThank you. Did somebody else tried it ?

I just did
Fully uninstalled
Cleared all files in appdata
Full system reboot
Same issue...
When I use the new teams V2 in the web browser it all works so it must be WinUI render thing because in the client I get problems every time.
