MS Teams : looking for suggestions for generic tablet access

Hello,

Forgive me if this is a common question. I am a bit non-technical so I may be missing some nuance, and for this I apologize as well. I will try to educate myself as needed.

In our organization we are currently using MS Teams as a stopgap solution for teleconferencing and secure video communications during the Covid Pandemic.  Since we are healthcare adjacent, we have situations where urgent/rapid use of conferencing is important.

This presents a problem though, because even if it is possible to leave a generic Teams account permanently logged in on a device for convenient use between multiple users (it also would make it very easy to have quick contacts between a logged-in professional and this device), there would be multiple security vulnerabilities, since it is indeed a generic account that belongs to no one, having a Office 365 account.

In this instance: are there any guidelines and best practices that can be followed to minimize security vulnerabilities? I understand that in this context Teams is far from the ideal product to use, especially in urgent cases, but we are at the whims of our organization.

Thank you for your attention,

P

Honestly, leaving a computer logged in has a lot more vulnerabilities than Teams. There are solutions in Healthcare to allow for quick cardkey logon and logoff.

No real problem with leaving a generic account logged on, as long as the account doesn't have rights to do much.

Also, you may want to look at installing Teams on personal devices, such as phones.

Having a specific account that represents an office or station isn't a bad solution, then people know what to call. Having different accounts for different people that don't logon is problematic (unless they use phones)
