Lost access to making new folder
For some reason I'm not able to see the folder tab under New drop down. How do I get it back?

Thank you. I followed your suggestions but when I went into settings, the "make new folder" command is already checked yes but still not showing up

Just thinking out loud, has anyone been messing with the permissions also, as that could probably do the trick also.
Oh and do you have the option to create a Folder when just within SharePoint. I suppose my point here, is that if you can't in SharePoint you will not be able to in Teams, so start there.

Providing you only changed permissions on that library you can probably bring it back pretty quickly by going into Library Settings, Permissions and Delete Unique permissions.
