Joining Zoom Meeting from Teams Room
Hello,
I have Teams rooms set up with HP Slices in 3 of our offices, but many of our customers use Zoom as their meeting service. Is there a way to join a Zoom meeting easily from the Teams hardware we have installed?
I actually just figured out a work-around for the time being. If you use the Admin password to log into the windows settings side of the Slice machine, you're actually using a regular windows interface. You can then use a browser to log into any of these other services as usual and join meetings. In my tests, the hardware (webcam, mic, speakers) all functioned normally.
In essence, using the Slice with the regular PC interface instead of the touchscreen Teams interface

astraitman Not yet (at least, not in a directly supported way), but it's my understanding that this is a feature that is coming soon. Keep an eye on the Teams Rooms Release Notes. They just added support to join Cisco WebEx meetings, so it's likely Zoom won't be too far behind.

we are facing problems to join Zoom Meetings from a Lenovo Thinksmart HUB 500. We have already gone through this article:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/rooms/third-party-join
We have no problems with zoom.us invitation links. We cannot join meetings with <company>.zoom.us. URL rewrite is not enabled. As mentioned, we have everything configured as mentioned in the article. Hope someone here is aware of the issue.- Do you get a zoom meeting invite on the centre of room console? If so, is there a Join button?
- ocico985Copper ContributorHi Graham, thank you for the quick response. Yes, the invite is visible on the centre of room console, and I can see the Join button. But we can not join the meeting.
- ulrichkCopper ContributorI came across the same issue today and was curious if you have found any solution to that issue yet?
ulrichk Are you trying to join a Zoom URL with a custom domain?

astraitman Same issue here. Standard Zoom URLs work but custom company URLS do not work
- RayGentryBrass ContributorWith the custom zoom links, have you tried setting the Teams Room as an attendee and the location being the zoom link?
- ajohnsondocCopper Contributor
RayGentry Yes to both. Required attendee and meeting URL is in the email body and the location
- RayGentryBrass ContributorIt could also be that the link protection is filtering the custom links if the asterisk isn't before .zoom as well as after.
- ajohnsondocCopper ContributorI looked at that too. We have *.zoom.com*, *.zoom.us* and *.zoomgov.com*

I am having an issue with a client that has multiple Crestron Flex MTR's that join Zoom meetings, and at around the 40 min mark or so the video stops. Room stays in the meeting, audio gets passed, but video to the display in room and camera feed out stop working. A premier Zoom account starts the meeting so it isn't a license issue. Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? My client has been having to deal with this for quite some time now. astraitman
