Jabra Headset muting all audio when lifting boom arm

We use Jabra Evolve2 65 headsets as standard in our business. Some (not all) users experience the same issue, where when they lift their boom arm it mutes all audio through the headphones for them. Some have managed to get around this by pressing the volume up and down on the headsets, which then kicks the audio back in.

I have tried different headsets, updating drivers, rolling back drivers, upgrading to windows 10, Connected through the dongle and turning Bluetooth off and it still doesn't seem to want to work. It seems like a driver issue, but there are no further updates.

I'm a bit lost as to what else to do/try!

Thanks,

I also had this problem for a long time and was about to go the way of manual driver installation after reading that many people said the Intel Smart Sound Technology for Bluetooth Audio is responsible. I looked for the hardware IDs of my device to find the right driver and stumbled upon Treexy and their software Driver Fusion. I had software in the past for updating drivers but was never a fan but gave driver fusion a shot. And voila - it fixed the Jabra Problem by letting me install the newest driver for Intel Smart Sound Technology for Bluetooth Audio and fixing other driver problems. I disconnected and reconnected my Jabra Headset (Evolve2 75) and since then muting works as expected - also synchronizing with Microsoft Teams. I am using the newest driver version 10.29.0.1152 from 18.10.2024. (I am not working or affiliated anyhow to treexy - just wanted to share my experience).

rhiannon67 hey, you mentioned updating drivers for Windows but have you tried updating the firmware on Jabra headsets themselves?

You may also want to try installing the Jabra software (eg Jabra Direct) and see if you have options there that can help for managing the behaviour of the boom arm.

HelloBenTeoh Thanks for the suggestions, I have tried firmware updates and had a look around the boom arm settings in Jabra direct. Still no luck.

I think I have identified that the issue sits with the Bluetooth driver, namely 10.0.22621.2506 - I can't seem to roll it back through windows settings but will carry on investigating a way to do so!

      Thanks,
