How many can register for a Teams webinar?
Hi,
I our organization only 300 persons can attend a Teams webinar but does that also limit how many can register for a webinar? I would like to avoid that a lot of people register and then they are not allowed to enter the meeting. Is this something that the admin can manage?
Also, is it possible to get a notification when a webinar is full so that we can schedule a second one?
Thank you for any support 🙂
- What licenses are you running? Most licenses permit up to 1000 attendees + view only attendees in thousands.
I’m not aware of a registration limit. There’s no setting for this afaik. It’s basically a SharePoint list behind the scenes so you can use power automate to some magic there regarding notifications- akoskinenCopper ContributorWe have E5 licenses but have limitations and restrictions on meetings/live events. It is a pity that there is not a way to limit number of people registering. We are planning a fair where all 20 000 employees will be invited to attend about 100 different webinars.
Good idea to use power automate to get notifications. I will investigate that.
We have also build a registration app in SharePoint but I really like the webinar feature.- Hello! Next time, please provide the licensing info instead of referring to limits. It only gets confusing as 300 is the limit for A1.
- Hello, I suppose you use A1 licenses as 300 is the limit under that subscription. And then you don't have the view-only overflow capacity included either. So 300 can attend and you should plan ahead and follow the entered registrations as described here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/get-started-with-teams-webinars-42f3f874-22dc-4289-b53f-bbc1a69013e3
