thanks for your reply. Yes, we are aware of the built-in behaviour of the anonymous join, but actually the issue is not related to what name users choose to write (James Bond, Pavarotti, Bobby etc.) during an anonymous join, but to what is displayed by Microsoft Teams on users' screens. Therefore, since there is still a mismatch between real identity/displayed name in a meeting chat, I asked my tenant admin to open a ticket with Microsoft Premiere support.
I will share any update about this issue.

- I've just encountered this as well - in the "people" view there are several people showing with my name and messages are showing as written by me when they're not.
