Error "To re-enable the application, the tab needs to be refreshed."
I have a problem when opening Chrome in incognito mode and opening up teams via https://aka.ms/mstfw . I get a message with a "Clock" logo and the message "To re-enable the application, the tab needs to be refreshed." with a button that says "I'm back". Anyone else?
PS. I have now confirmed that this is a Chrome only issue.

This will also occur if you don't allow 3rd party cookies in your browser. Once I allowed all cookies, it removed the message.

The solution is not clearing cache and cookies but allowing cache and cookies.
While you see a "I'm Back" button, you will find a eye symbol in the right edge of the address bar, click on that and allow access to cookies. Done! Alan Burchill
- JakobRohdeIron ContributorI also get this, and clearing the cache, allowing third party cookies etc. doesn't help. I get the error in different browsers on different devices. Could this problem be related to Conditional Access policies?

Hi Alan,
So I tried clearing the cache from Google an dit worked that one time.
But, I tried to log onto Teams from my Safari app and the same window
comes up :"Re-enable the application the tab needs to be refreshed".
Thanks!

Hi,
Yes, I'm getting the same message after downloading the Microsoft Teams App. and trying to log in
the message saying to re-enable the application, the tab needs to be refreshed. I was on Google Chrome but I'm on my Safari page. Trying to figure out how to refresh this then I saw your comments.
Thanks,
Noalani

Just FYI, this isn't only a Chrome issue. I am experiencing this on Firefox, and similarly, the only solution I found was to clear my cache and log back in. It's strange because I've been using Teams on Firefox for a couple weeks without getting stuck on this error.

No need to clear browser cache or change chrome settings. I solved this error with only one click on the option in the home page at the incognito session when open your browser, I got this solution from this post https://debug.to/1595/to-re-enable-the-application-the-tab-needs-to-be-refreshed

search "Cookies and other site data" in settings.
enable Allow all cookies will help to resolve this.

I ran into this issue also. Since I really hate deleting cache, also it is not a userfriendly thing to ask. I was looking for another solution. Finally I realized that on Chrome you are able to disable the Block third-party cookies option. After you disable this, you can open the application in Chrome incognito mode with no problem.
Hope it helps you too.

TamasOrtmann - I had the same problem with Chrome then switched to firefox. Then the problem came up again. So I followed your advice and disabled the blocking of cookies and so far the problem is resolved (and after a re-start of the browser).

This doesn't work for me - using Firefox. Deleted all the site data for 'microsoft.com', added teams.microsoft.com to the cookie and tracking exceptions lists. This resulted in me being asked to login to my corporate account again, but still ended up back at the "To re-enable the application the tab needs to be refreshed." screen.
