Delete Option not available
I'm trying to delete a message that was mistakenly sent to the announcement channel in teams. There is no option to delete??? Are we not allowed to delete messages in Teams? Thank you for any advice.

Did anyone have any luck with this one yet?
Company-wide Teams channel, allows emails from all senders by default (now revoked), but we're left with a message in the channel we can not remove. Owners have been enabled to remove message, however no ellipsis is availble to do that (...).

Damo_S we have a post with the same issue, never seen it before and its driving me spare trying to find a way to remove it

We gave up looking for a fix for this and deleted the Team, waited a little bit and then recreated it. Thankfully it was quite a new Team which had very little data in it.
The only scenario I didn't try; would be temporarily elevating the user who posted the unwanted message to an owner in the Team, then seeing if they perhaps get the ellipsis delete message option.

The Delete Options needs to be enabled by the Office 365 Admin in the Office 365 Portal. In case that option is not enabled we would not be able to delete the message in the Channel.

- Jared_YoungCopper ContributorI have this same issue. The user accidentally sent an email to the team and it created a new conversation. I have teams set up to allow owners to delete messages I have turned this off and on and there is no option to delete the message that the user sent. Is there any other options for this? is there a powershell process that I can use, as the global administrator, that would allow me to remove the message.?
