Default audio devices in teams

I'm still so disappointed that Teams meetings can't follow the default device like most non-MS products do.  My job involves constant transitions from different telecommunication needs - for broadcast I use a good condenser mic but it keeps me trapped by its cord so I also use a wireless headset for most casual communication or an open web camera microphone.  I use an awesome little program called SoundSwitch that has profiles with hotkeys that can set the default devices and ALL my other apps (Discord, Skype(RIP), Zoom) respect the selection.  SoundSwitch also chooses the extremely well-hidden "Communication Device" which really seems only designed to confound users who just wanna talk!!  Please fix this MS. PLease.
