I’ve created a simple tool for this, complete with a button interface. It’s not instant, and in my case, it’s designed to work with the Elgato Stream Deck but you can also set it up easily using a .bat file. (https://github.com/M-Patrone/audioswitcher/releases/tag/1.0)
Here’s a short description:
AudioSwitcher is a small Windows utility that lets you change your default audio devices (both speakers and microphones) via the command line. It also tries to automatically update the active device in Microsoft Teams.
This tool was originally developed to make switching between audio outputs easier using an Elgato Stream Deck button perfect for anyone who frequently switches between headsets, speakers, or other audio devices.
