Can't schedule a live event public in Microsoft Teams

Did anyone find a solution to this? I am having the same issue.
I tried with the webclient, windows client, mac client.
All these give the exact same error when i try to save a "public" live event.

The calendar event actually get created but whenever you try to open it in either outlook or web, it gives the same generic error.
