archived Teams or Channels: still sychronised in Windows Explorer and files still writeable?
Hi everybody,
i am struggling with the concept of archiving teams and channels, after a project is finished i want to archive (not delete) the teams/channels. i am testing this and noticed a few things:
- archived teams and channels are still synchronized with my windows explorer, can i control this behaviour? i want archived channels to Desynchronise in windows Explorer, is this possible?
- when teams are synchronized i can not edit files in Teams but files are still editable in Windows exploer. So i could edit a Word File in Windows Explorer, save the file and it will be synchronized via One Drive in Teams. why is that? does not really make any sense. when i archive a teams i want to freeze all the files in it and not just the ones opened in teams, how do i change this?
- Are you the Team Owner?
- Hello
Are you selecting Make the SharePoint site read-only for team member? Note that if you are the owner you'll still be able to make edits in the site- aesposito1982Copper Contributori do, i select the option and the files in Teams are then "read-only"
but the synchronised files in Windows Explorer are still editable, i can change there and manipulate files and this changes are then synchronised back to my channel. why? does not make any sense to me...- Are you the Team Owner?
