APPS icon went missing from desktop app of Teams
- May 15, 2021
SteveGatz Hello again, ah.. I think I understand. You have simply signed in/up for Teams for personal use and not a Teams free org. and not using a business account either, correct?
Then you aren't going to access the apps or be able to change org. with the "switcher".

Just to show how it looks, this is from at Teams desktop app only using Teams personal and Teams free org. I can change between the two.
I've located examples of the "tenant switcher" pulldown menu on Google Images. I have nothing like that anywhere on my screen nor in any account-related menu that I can find. Still stuck. Sigh.

- SteveGatzMay 15, 2021Copper ContributorChristianJBergstrom, your assumptions are spot on! I don't have time to do this now, but I'll follow the directions for signing up to the free org later. I'm sure that'll fix me up.
Funny thing is that it allowed me to see the APPs Store for a while after I installed the desktop app, then closed me out. I checked out several apps before all of the sudden, that button vanished. I don't have a MS 365 Business account, but only a paid MS 365 account for Office apps. As you know, Teams is not included in that suite. I started the Teams process by signing up using the web app, but it didn't like Opera browser and recommended I install the desktop app. I suppose I could have read more about how to use Teams for free, but it seemed obvious.
