Sorting of form responses

Created a form using Forms for excel with the results being saved in OneDrive.  The first few responses are in a logical order but then some start to get inserted in random order.  When I try sorting on a column header ID in the case below it does not work see:

If I try sorting on a different column - start time it does not sort either.  Anyone know a reason or better still a solution.
