Response of an Auto-submitted Timed Microsoft Forms not available

I have initiated a MS Forms for the employees of our organization to take an assessment. This was a timed form and at the end of the timer, the form was supposed to auto-submit. What happened was one of the users could not complete it on time and hence the form auto submitted. But I cannot find their response in the responses, as well the form is not allowing the user to re-take the test. This needs an urgent attention.

  • If the form is set to 'Only people in my organization can respond' with 'One response per person', and a respondent revisits the response link and sees that the information indicates the response has already been submitted, then the response must be there. If you think there is something wrong with your form, you can ask your IT department to open a support ticket to the Product team. They will cooperate with you to find out more details.

If you're unable to view the response of an auto-submitted timed Microsoft Forms, consider checking the following steps:

    1. Confirmation Email: If you've set up an auto-submitted form with email confirmation, check your email inbox (including spam or junk folders) for a confirmation email. It might contain a summary or link to view the responses.

    2. Forms Dashboard: Log in to the Microsoft Forms dashboard using the account through which you created the form. Navigate to the specific form, and check if the responses are visible there.

    3. Permissions: Ensure that the account you are using has the necessary permissions to view form responses. If you're part of a group or organization, check with the administrator if there are any restrictions.

    4. Form Settings: Review the settings of the form to make sure that responses are set to be visible to you. Sometimes, form creators can restrict access to responses.

    5. Browser Compatibility: Try accessing the form and its responses using a different web browser. Sometimes, browser issues can prevent the proper display of form responses.

If you've gone through these steps and still can't access the responses, there might be a technical issue. In that case, reaching out to Microsoft Forms support or your IT administrator for assistance would be advisable.
