Sharepoint Agent not talking in Teams chat
Hello,
I created an agent in one of our Sharepoint Site :
The agent works fine inside Sharepoint, but when I add it to a Teams group chat, whether the chat members all have access to the Sharepoint content and a Copilot licence or not, the agent doesn't "talk". It doen't even introduce itself :
I tried to follow many tutorials/documentation, such as https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-an-agent-from-sharepoint-in-teams-6dcbf7b5-8c13-44e5-a68a-dbd71fb76ad3, but found nothing on this issue.
Is there something I'm not doing right?
Thanks.
Regards,
J.L.

Hi jlamb, kellyEdinger, and RobOK - Apologies for the delay, just now seeing these. Are you all still experiencing the issues noted above? I just created and shared a SharePoint agent in a Teams chat during a live demo this week and it worked without issue, so want to better understand the issue(s) you both are facing so we can help address.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to answer.
I had stopped trying for a while but when I tried again yesterday it started working fine: it prompted to introduce itself, and answered questions.
We had another issue though: the agent answered my questions but failed to answer my colleague's question, saying the agent is not available and asking to try again later. Does the agent rely on the licence of the user asking the question?
Thanks.

Hello,
I had stopped trying a while ago but when I tried again yesterday it worked. I didn't change anything: used the same agent, added it to a chat with a colleague, and it started talking fine.
It answered my questions, but did not answer my colleague's questions, saying the agent was not available and to try again later. Could it be because he doesn't have a copilot licence?
Thanks.

I had stopped trying a while ago, but when I tried again this afternoon, the agent started talking and answering!
I added the agent to a chat with a colleague, and the agent answers my question, but not my colleagues' questions (it says the agent is not available, and asks to try later). Could it be because my colleague lacks a Copilot licence ?

Same here. I can get Copilot Studio agents to start talking in Teams, but not SharePoint agents.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I have the same trouble. It is way too complicated to use CoPilot Studio and then the resulting agent does not work properly. Its been a year and MSFT has made such little progress.
