M365 Copilot Pro vs Copilot Pro
Hello Mark,
Correct. Copilot Pro is not for businesses.
If you add the Microsoft 365 Copilot license add-on to your Business Standard subscription, then you can use the M365 Copilot chat (Work and Web toggle), and M365 Copilot integration in all M365 Apps, including Loop, OneNotes, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and much more. In Teams, you can create notes and summaries during meetings. Yes, the features are turned on by default.
For M365 Copilot license users, you can create Copilot agents using either the Copilot Studio Builder, which is integrated in the M365 Copilot chat, or you can create declarative agents using Copilot Studio. However, there are limitations, you can find more information about it here: Copilot Studio licensing - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn
Process automation and workflows, for which you use Power Automate. This product needs to be licensed separately. I would recommend using the demo license first.
Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi Amanda,
Thanks for the reply. I need some additional advice. Currently, I use Straico, a central hub with all AI models. Here, I use the chat function, add web pages, YouTube links, and files. I create content, make summaries, and more. Additionally, I use my AI assistant VoilĂ AI as a desktop app, mobile app, and Edge extension to summarize, translate, and more on web pages. I purchased these tools with a lifetime deal on Appsumo, so I wonder if i really need a license for M365 Copilot...
What appeals to me most is the integration with all Microsoft apps and the AI agents I can create and train in Copilot Studio. I have already created some agents, but I have hit the limits because I don't have a license. The workflows I can build are also interesting, but I need an additional Power Automate license for that, right? That holds me back. I was thinking of basic workflows like generating content with an AI agent and saving it in a Word document in my OneDrive. Nothing spectacular, but if I need a Power Automate license for that too, then I might pass on Copilot.
So, I have a lot of doubts and questions, and I hope you can help me out. Thanks in advance!
