MSLE: verification link expired, institution address validation also fails (UNYT)

I am registering as an Individual Educator in Microsoft Learn for Educators

(MSLE) for University of New York Tirana, Albania.

Timeline:

  1. Completed initial profile with institution email ******@unyt.edu.al
  2. Institution address field consistently rejected with this exact error:

"Please enter proper address as the Address is incorrect or the Address was not able to be sent through the validation process."

I tried multiple verified address formats for the institution, including:

  • "Ish-shkolla e mesme elektrike, Rruga e Kavajës, pranë 21 Dhjetorit (Sheshi Ataturk), Tiranë" (official registered address)
  • "Rruga e Kavajës, Tiranë 1000"
  • "21 Dhjetori, Tirana"
  • "Rruga Kavajes" (without Albanian diacritics, in case of character encoding issues)

All combinations were tried with City: Tirana, Country: Albania,

Zip code: both 1000 and 1001 - all rejected with the same error.

  1. Received "Action needed: Verify your email account" email from Microsoft Vetting Services (email address removed for privacy reasons) on 24 July 2026
  2. Clicking the verification link now redirects back to the profile creation page instead of confirming status - link appears expired (5-day window stated in the email had passed)
  3. The in-portal "Create a Case" support form returns "An error has occurred while processing your request"
  4. The msacademicverify.com/Contact page (linked from the verification email for further questions) does not load at all

Could someone from the Microsoft Learn for Educators team help me complete verification manually, or resend a working link, and clarify what address format is expected for Albania?

  • Hi omerfarukkrc, I'm happy to help.

Some updates have been applied to the system. Could you please try the process again using Microsoft Edge in an InPrivate window?

If the issue persists, please let us know and provide screenshots of the error so we can investigate further.

    Thank you.

  • Hi omerfarukkrc thanks for the heads up, now that you can access the MSLE portal, please open a support ticket in the Help link top right corner of the portal.

    Thanks

      Hi Carlos_Chaves

Hi Carlos, I tried to open a support ticket as you suggested, but the

"Create a Case" form gives me this error every time I submit: "An error

has occurred while processing your request. Please try again later."

I've tried this multiple times over the past few days with different

content, same result - so this seems to be a persistent issue on my end,

      not a one-off glitch.

Since I can't get the ticket form to work, could I describe the issue

here instead, or could you help me log it on your side?

The core problem: on the "Register your course" page, I cannot select or

confirm my institution - the "Educator name" field shows "--" and I get

"Institution name is a required field," even though my Profile correctly

shows "University of New York Tirana." This completely blocks course

registration. Separately, my institution's address in Profile is also

      outdated and read-only.

      Hi Carlos_Chaves , yes.

I can confirm my individual educator profile is verified and I can access the dashboard.

However, the two specific issues I mentioned above are still open:

      1. On "Register your course," the Institution Name field shows blank and

blocks submission, even though my Profile correctly shows "University

      of New York Tirana."

      2. My Institution's address/city/zip fields are locked (read-only) and

still show an outdated campus address ("Kodra e Diellit") that the

      university no longer uses.

Could you help with either of these, or point me to who can update the

      institution's record?

Hi Carlos, thanks for the tip.

I tried it and still see two issues:

course registration blocked (Institution name shows blank) and my institution's registered address is outdated. Could you take a look when you have a moment?

Hi Carlos, thank you for the update.

I was able to reach the individual educator dashboard and Profile page successfully using the same method (Edge InPrivate), and my basic profile info (Title, Department) saved correctly on Submit.

However, two new issues appeared once I got this far:

      1. On the "Register your course" page, the "Educator name" field shows "--"

and displays the error "Institution name is a required field" — even

though my Profile page does show "University of New York Tirana" as the

Institution Name. This blocks me from registering a course.

      2. In my Profile, the Institution address, City, and Zip code fields are

pre-filled but outdated — they show an old campus location ("Kodra e

Diellit") that the university no longer uses. These fields appear to be

read-only for me. Could you let me know how to request an update to the

institution's registered address, and whether that could be related to

      issue #1 above?

Happy to provide screenshots of either issue if helpful. Thank you again for your help.
