Syncing Outlook contacts on Android to native Contacts app

What process are you guys using to sync your Outlook contacts from the Work side to the native Contacts app on the personal side?   We are basically personal phone enrolled with Work Profile (even though we own the phones).  I tried to create an App Config but not doing as I expect.  Feel free to show screenshots or instructions on how you handled it.   Thanks in advanced.

    Hey Brent,
    i had the same issues an was able to solve it with the following configuration:

    In my case two policies were needed:


    1) App Protection Policy - Tell that you are allowed to sync contacts to native apps

    • Intune Admin Center - Apps - App Protection Policies (Anroid & iOS)
    • Open existieren Policy or create a new one
    • Configure ""Data Protection" - "Sync policy managed app data with native apps" to "Allow"

    2) App Configuration - Tell what you want to sync

    App Configuration Policy for Pubic Apps "Microsoft Outlook" Android & iOs
    - Settings Catalog - Save contacts to Yes - Allow user to change Settings: yes
    - Choose "Sync contact fields to native contact app configuration"

    Last step is that user activate the sync in Outlook on their smartphones and allow Access to the contacts.
