Uploading PDFs into Whiteboard
With the retirement of the whiteboard app, my company now has to use the web and teams version exclusively. We like to make use of the app specifically because you can upload high quality PDFs on to the board. However, this feature isn’t available on the web and teams version. Are there any plans for the existing versions to have the option to upload locally saved PDFs?

You want to preserve the PDF-on-canvas workflow, not merely share a document separately in a meeting. Microsoft's current Whiteboard instructions describe Create, Documents, then My Files, with PDFs from the local PC and PDFs or PowerPoint files through OneDrive. That documentation is not a promise that every client and tenant exposes identical controls today. First check whether Documents exists in your web board and whether a PDF stored in OneDrive can be selected there. Ask your administrator to verify Optional Connected Experiences, which Microsoft lists as a requirement for inserting pictures and documents. Do not remove restrictive sensitivity labels without organizational approval. If local browsing alone is missing, report that specific client gap with screenshots and tenant details. I cannot confirm a future release date. As a temporary workflow, use the documented OneDrive route if available, keeping the original PDF intact.
