unable to enable tiles with global administartor role using on-prem account

I am not able to enable tiles or unable to run powershell to see organization settings using on-premise account with global administrator. I heard some where that to do such kind of tasks we need "@onmicrosoft.com" account with global administrator role. Can someone please provide your thoughts if I am right or wrong

  • You have to be more clear here, there's no such thing as "on-premises account with global administrator". Is the account synced to Office 365? If so, you should be able to login and access the cmdlets. What error are you getting?

Yes it is synced with O365. For ecample if I want to provision BCS iwht my current global admin role, it is asking that you need "onmicrosoft" account for this.

      2. If I am trying to get detaisl of all organization settings using powershell, it is throwing an error called "you don't have access to retriew this ifromation".

      3. I am not able to enable tiles (ex: yammer  etc) for complete organization with my current global admin role. It might require onmicrosoft account to enable these tiles.
