Transferring domain hosts while keeping email service active

I have a domain I purchased with a registrar which I currently use for my business and I would like to move this domain to wordpress.com, this process takes 5-7 days and I need the email service from Microsoft (which is connected to the registrar through the nameserver method) to stay functional during this time. Can anyone provide assistance on how this is done?
