Maybe you need to give it a try wit PS and use the -AllowNotFoundExchangeLocationsEnabled parameter. As the Teams channel is not a regular mailbox.

Did you ever get this to work? I keep running into the "Filters Dropped" when I add it

Nope! Content search/ediscovery consistently returned no hits/no results. Almost as if a photo in comment can't be discovered. Thank you though.
