Outlook no longer connect to iPhone

For a few years both the Outlook Calendar and Contacts merged nicely with the iPhone 6S.  Now i get an error message when I save calendar reminders that the file does not support reminders.  The contacts no longer sync with iPhone contacts.  This is frustrating.  Suggestions?
