Office 365 logout through code

Hi,

We are implementing a app where we are using excel with office login but we are not in control of office logout as it depends on cookies stored in browser for user session.

We are thinking to implement our own force login logic using following URL:

https://login.windows.net/common/oauth2/logout

We found this URL working as per our expectation and logout user from office account.

Please can someone confirm, is this a valid approach to logout from office account? 

Is this URL expected to change in future by office online or same URL will be used for logout?

Please let me know, If there is any other way to handle it through code without tenant account and azure AD.
