New Outlook - can we get the view 3 lines shown in the new outlook?
I have tried to get the view 3 lines of UNREAD emails in the new outlook and the web version and it is just not possible. Do you think Microsoft 365 will bring it back in the next release? this helps so much when I need to skim many emails that came in overnight (as I work in a global role) :-)

This is so aggravating! Something that makes your day so much better and it is taken away. A simple 3 lines really, that is an issue for Microsoft and they felt they needed to take it away. BTW, my settings show "Message Preview Text" is on and nothing. I don't want to see the whole message!
Do you mean the message preview setting? There is no exact replacement for it in the new Outlook, but you can still toggle the preview under Settings > Mail > Layout > Message preview text.
Unfortunately the new settings does not help. I do not want to see the whole thing.. just to quickly read the first lines to know if it is an URGENT request. This is sad that they do not have any longer. I hope they bring it back
