Migration from Laserfiche to SharePoint online

This is a project that I am looking into as well. The advice I was given was to download all the Laserfiche data to a hard drive, then use SharePoint migration manager to move it into the SharePoint tenant. It's unclear whether metadata would be lost, and how time consuming this would be.
