Is it possible to move the Search Box in Outlook to another position ?
Hello,
We found that the Search Box was moved into the title bar of our desktop Outlook 365. Is it possible to change its position ?
Cheers
Nope. Although they've gone through several iterations on this, so it might change in the future.

As MS have removed Uservoice and reverted to the "Feedback Hub", we need to put any feedback in there as it's the only place MS will look for improvements.
I have found 2 of them for this:
https://aka.ms/AAf0rw2 - Outlook Search Barhttps://aka.ms/AAf0zmf - New Outlook search bar location is terrible
These both currently have very few upvotes (5 & 4), so they will likely be ignored unless they are voted on.

Pernille-Eskebo: did you consider that some users might use smaller laptops/tablets for email? Your stupid search bar is taking up very valuable real estate on our screens. Given that the ribbon bar header doesn't need anywhere near the width of the screen, did you think of possibly just keeping it to the right of those and give me an inch of my vertical screen back? Duh.
- Shauna1345Copper ContributorThis is terrible placement and takes up more of the screen. Please fix it!

+1. This is the new look - Now half of my screen is taken up by an unnecessary bar that cannot be edited. Brutal! Let me manage where the Search Bar resides.

ARV_Solutions They moved it from a bad spot to an even worse spot. Holy smokes! I want the title of my application there, not a search bar.
- s_kvindalCopper Contributor+1 Support it's wrong, put it back and reinstate the keystrokes neccessary to navigate in "Search In" options..
- UofC_userCopper ContributorI add my frustration with the move of the search bar to this outlandish position, and my hope that they will revert this change. Cheers!

Zidong_NIE I need to voice my opinion too. The search box location is illogical. After nearly a year of use it still misses my automatic view point. The ergonomics of this thing is awful. Microsoft, you need to fix it (/unfix it!)
- BeefyBeefCopper ContributorTerrible design choice by Microsoft. It's completely out of place and unbalances the UI.

I think that tells you all you need to know about the new start location and what needs to happen too it..
Move it back already.

Our office just updated to the new version of Windows and this search bar is beyond terrible. I constantly use custom searches to find e-mails and what use to take a few seconds, is now a cumbersome process that takes three times as long and isn't nearly as useful.
Please revert to the old search bar.
