Is it possible to move the Search Box in Outlook to another position ?

Nope. Although they've gone through several iterations on this, so it might change in the future.

I just noticed the new location of the search bar. I dislike it.
In the past, I added several fields (To, From, Subject, Body) to the search field. Using these fields speeds up the search.
The current search bar (in the title bar) annoys me. I don't think it's an improvement.

I agree I don't like it either. It requires more time to move the mouse above the ribbon. I even move my quick tools below the ribbon to save on mouse movement. Unless you are going to add a keyboard shortcut to jump to the search field - it should be moved back! TheUltimateBug

TheUltimateBug Always looks off center to me.
At least you can still get to your fields for searching - it's an extra click, but after you click in search you can then click on the 'all mailboxes' - you get your fields and can add.
Still not as convenient.

Very unproductive! User-angry, needs unnecessary clicks ....

I have seen this happen with a lot of technology lately. It seems they taking something that worked and changing it for the sake of "look we changed it" and it's not an improvement, makes additional clicks for the same work like the search bar. I hope they change this in the next update or at least make it so people can choose where to put it.

Instead of a bunch of us just complaining about it, how do we bring this to Microsoft's attention?
Is there a moderator we need to call out?

fganter I started this question hoping someone in MS would see it. I believe someone else previously commented that MS doesn't monitor this group and if that is correct... other than hoping someone in the community has found an answer and to know that we are not the only ones who do not like it... we can only hope that there is a person or persons who can and will bring this to the attention of the right people. fingers crossed!

There's usually a company moderator in these forums - just have to know the handle.
Even if there isn't a company moderator, someone should know how to get it in front of Microsoft. I suppose I could enter a support request, but that doesn't quite seem like the correct channel.
- SigveMMJun 22, 2022Copper ContributorPlease Microsoft, put the search bar back at top of mail list. You did this nonsense to me a couple of years ago, then we thankfully got it back in place in my company, but now it's back on title bar again. Terrible. I waste so much time as I have to search throughout my workday to find the exact message.
PLEASE!
