Hybrid Migration - EOP

Hi Guys,

 

I have a question about the hybrid migration.

 

We currently already have EOP in place, so the send connectors and receivers are already setup between our office 365 tenant and our on-premise exchange server.

 

We have purchased Office 365 Business Premium licences and are now going through the hybrid migration wizard. I noticed at this stage (pictured) that it was going to attempt to configure connectors. What will happen if I hit next at this point, as we already have the connectors setup?

    Hi,

     

    The wizard will create new connectors based on the flow of email that you choose if it needed.

     

    Is advised that you will remain that connectors so you can delete the others after testing of flow of email.

      Thanks for the response. So just to clarify what you said, the wizard will create new connectors and leave the existing connectors alone?

        That’s how it worked for us. I simply disabled the old connectors until mail flow was confirmed, I then removed them leaving the new hybrid ones in place.
