Forms within Sharepoint Lists
Hello!
I have started using the Forms button within my Sharepoint lists:
I'm finding this to be very handy but a little buggy.
I have a list and I want to use this Form feature to allow for an attachment, but cannot find the option. Anyone know if this is possible? I also have a list with 35+ columns and not all options are showing up within the form, not sure if there is some limitation i am unaware of?
Currently, I am using the "new item" form button which allows attachments; but I'd like to create multiple forms using List.
(I know I can use MS Forms w PowerAutomate to create a new list item, but the List Form button is easier.)
Thanks in advance!
- VirginiaH1Copper ContributorI'm also looking for the "add attachment" button. It's so frustrating to have almost everything you need, and you get all this done, and then realize you can't add attachments.
- Jonathan2030Copper ContributorStill hoping someone has more info for how the Forms button in MS SP Lists is supposed to function. In addition to not being able to allow for attachments, the native form also blanks out frequently, defaulting to "All Items" and listing none on the List Columns, resulting in a form that is blank, expect for a Submit button. Since there is no backup or undue, i have had to rebuild the form repeatedly.
- Jonathan2030Copper ContributorJust a last update, the native forms option within sharepoint lists just seems to be a bit buggy. It will usually fix itself within 15 min or an hour if it glitches.
The problem that i continue to have is when i go to edit it, all of the columns will disappear and it will blank out my form, and i will need to rebuild it. If this happens, i try not to save changes and let it update.
Frustrating while i am trying to work on things in real time. Maybe MS will improve or someone else will have some tips in the future.
