Default "save as" format is ods instead of xlms
Hi,
we are deploying M365 apps via Intune, like this:
XML is set as default, but when user go like "save as" ods file format is presented. How do I fix this?

Try this:
- Check Intune Configuration Profiles: Ensure that the default file format is set to "Office Open XML Format" (e.g., .xlsx, .docx, .pptx) instead of "OpenDocument Format" (e.g., .ods, .odt, .odp). You can find this setting under the app suite configuration in Intune.
- Edit the App Suite Configuration: If the default format is incorrectly set to OpenDocument Format, update the configuration to Office Open XML Format. After making changes, push the updated configuration to the devices.
- Verify User Settings: On the affected devices, check if users can manually change the default save format in the Office app settings. This might be a temporary workaround until the Intune configuration is updated.
- Restart Office Apps: Ensure that users close and reopen their Office apps after the updated configuration is pushed. This helps apply the new settings.
