365 App sign in and editing issues
The desktop Office apps require a valid M365 license in order to edit documents, this is not related to the permissions on the document or your OneDrive. Make sure you have a valid Office license. Or just use the web apps, they allow editing without additional licensing.

I have the same problem, and I DO HAVE a valid M365 Family license with FULL Office access, which I use daily on my home desktop computer. If you read carefully the original post, they stated that they also have a "full access subscription."
Why does the Android app expect a "work or school" account when we are signed in with a fully paid M365 Family account?
Respectfully,

For some reason I can neither understand nor fathom, I suddenly have the same problem: 1. Valid/current MS family/personal account. 2. Not at all linked to my work-based account - entirely different email address. 3. Only started happening today and it is driving me mad - and nothing I have read helps. 4. I have a Samsung Galaxy Android phone. Help really needed - and appreciated. Thanks.
