It’s Probabaly one of two things. You have files on demand on and you have the option on the office tab if your onedrive client option Unchecked where it says to use office to sync the files or something along those lines.
Two. You said you have a proxy and this def. raises a red flag as the office clients usually piggy back off IE settings to open office files direct from SharePoint (Onedrive). Make sure the proxy checkboxes aren’t check in IE settings and try from there.

ChrisWebbTechTo the Proxy theorie …. there is no red flag ever, either when connected at work (behind Proxy) or at home (just WiFi)….. the issue stays at work and at home (or mobile connected whatever sort of internet connection i get^^)
I will check the Office sync Checkbox …..
