Why does Appsource still have "Power Virtual Agents" and not Copilot as a Product filter?
I'm shocked that there is no Copilot/Agentic AI product filter. It makes it hard to publish consulting listings for AI solutions if people won't know where to find them.
I mean, didn't the name Power Virtual Agents go away like, 4 years ago?!
Can we petition to get this updated so people know where to browse for Copilot listings properly?

Hi Brooke,
Thanks for your question/feedback. There is a Copilot agent filter on AppSource (https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/apps?page=1&filters=Copilot-extension. ) This allows customers to discover apps that work with Microsoft Copilot. Currently this filter only results in Teams apps that work with Copilot, but more to come soon.
I think as a consulting service provider your question is coming from the perspective of a customer browsing consulting services on AppSource, for which you are correct, there is not currently a dedicated Copilot agent filter. The Power Virutal agents filter for Consulting services (https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/consulting-services?page=1&product=power-virtual-agents ) provides a selection of Copilot agent services, so if I understand your feedback, it would be for Microsoft to rename/relocate this filter to improve customer discovery. A couple follow up questions:
- Where in the hierarchy of filters would you expect to find this as a customer searching for your consulting services?
- What filter name/branding would make the most sense for you?
Note: The former Power Virtual Agents URL https://powervirtualagents.microsoft.com/ will redirect to Microsoft Copilot Studio (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-copilot/microsoft-copilot-studio/ ) as a result of the integration and rebranding effort made by Microsoft in 2023.

Thanks Kyle,
Yes you are correct - I'm definitely thinking the user experience for people searching for consulting services is outdated.
I think Power Virtual Agents needs to change to simply "Copilot [agents]" to mimic the experience with products. It looks like PVA is still available there as well, and all the listings are Copilot related. So I think that sends mixed signals - people might think PVA is still around.
It's interesting Copilot Agents isn't under the Product tab. I would expect it to be there, myself. At the top level though, not under Power Platform.
On the backend, I would expect Copilot to be a product we can select as either primary or secondary.
