When I click on a cell formatted to telephone numbers it loses the formatting in Formula Bar?
I formatted telephone numbers on my spreadsheet to this format ex. (555) 555-5555. When I click on a cell with the telephone number it loses its format in the formula bar. Can someone please help me with this. Thanks in advance.

- Sorry, I think you are stuck with that. The 'Formatting' is purely a visual representation of a number value in that cell. The formula bar shows the value. If you actually enter the phone number in using () and/or - then it is text formatted and then will show the same in the cell and formula bar.
That's by design. The cell formatting is window dressing. Excel still evaluates it as a number:
