Stock Data Types Wont Refresh - Provides Erroneous Error Message
I have an Excel workbook I created a few months ago and this afternoon while I was away, the "stocks" data type refresh feature stopped refreshing. The error message I receive instructs me to sign in to an account associated with this product (Excel), but I am clearly signed in. To be sure, I sign out and sign back in. Hit 'refresh' and receive the same error message. MS tech support tried to make a manual repair during a chat session, but it still will not refresh. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Tuesday morning 7 AM. Still have problem
- Bob83Copper ContributorIt is brutal...nothing like updating 100s of stocks manually - this is the longest the issue has gone without being resolved in my experience with MSFT...must be a large f*kup

I encountered this error today as well using Australian stocks so appears to be a global issue with either the data interface or an Excel update error. I couldn't resolve the issue by signing in and out or by rebooting my PC

Same issue here, and across devices with the same account. I believe this is not the first time it has happened (or similar), so let´s log issue with MS through their direct channels

forbisher Same problem since yesterday. I was able to workaround by opening spreadsheet online, updating/refreshing stock data, re-saving it to one drive, then opening the refreshed file with my desktop excel - which I prefer. This gives me all I need while awaiting a fix, and if I need to re-update I can rinse and repeat.
- Shane_125Copper ContributorWow not one reply from the Microsoft, but they would cut your subscription if you missed your payment by a day
- Shane_125Copper ContributorAll sorted now
- MarcoBazzaniCopper ContributorI contacted the support and they told me they are working on it

I have the same problem, but some work around I got is that while opening the excel sheet in Edge browser and it is refreshing there. But waiting for issue resolve.
