I'm unable to use HSTACK in my version. Is there any alternate option you can help with. Thanks in advance.

With 365 you should have HSTACK. The following does it instead:
=IF( {1,2,3,4} <= 3, Table, INDEX( IF( Table[Date] < MAX( Table[Date] ), "Close", "Open" ), SEQUENCE( ROWS( Table ) ), 1 ) )
