Go to last filled cell

I know that the shortcut to go to the last dilled cell is CTRL+END. But this doesn't seem to work properly. If I have written something in a cell beyond the last cell and then deleted the contents of it, using CTRL+END still takes me to the deleted cell.  Is it how it's supposed to work?

Not sure what Inquire is in all versions of Excel, but in any case you shall activate it in options -> COM add-ins.

Without it what I did step by step

Formatted cells with deleted values (Ctrl+End)

Select yellow cells and Clear All them

Ctrl+End forwards on last deleted cell

Now Save, Close and open the file again. Ctrl+End forwards correctly

Doesn't seem to work. Is there any setting that needs to be tweaked for that to work?

        Anwesh,

then you have to do it the hard way.

Delete all columns between the cell at CTRL-END and the rightmost column with content.

Do the same for the rows.

        Close and save the file.

        Reopen the file.

        Try CTRL-END again.

That'll just take me to the next filled/empty cell. But I want to go to the last filled cell at the very end.
