Frozen App
I am a novice in Excel and my spreadsheet and all Excel functions are frozen by the appearance of a pop-up that includes a GoTo field first and a Reference field below that . I am guessing that this box is part of creation of some formula(?) but I have no idea how to clear it. It will not cancel, delete, or "x out"; I rebooted the entire computer hoping to reset but it didn't work and it has locked up everything. Is there a way to cancel this action and save my open spreadsheet?

Hi, I’d start with Excel safe mode to see whether an add-in or startup file is freezing it. Press Win + R, run excel /safe, and if Excel opens normally, disable add-ins and re-enable them one by one. If it freezes only with one workbook, copy the file locally, open it with automatic calculation temporarily off, and check for large formulas, links, PivotTables, or damaged formatting. If Excel freezes even with a blank workbook in safe mode, I’d repair Microsoft 365 from Installed apps and also check display driver updates, because hardware acceleration issues can make Office apps appear frozen.
