Blogie I believe you make it unnecessarily complicated for yourself by wanting to summarise data on the basis of a font color. You are actually entering a number, e.g. 8, and then you need to set a color. Seems easier to just type f8, s8 or n8. These can then be coloured automatically by conditional formatting, if you want. The summary can be fairly easily constructed using some lookup functions, combining the shift code, the date and the employee.
The attached file is a very crude replication of your screenshot with two possible solutions. See which one works best for you (depends on your Excel version). Of course, only if you are willing to give up the idea of matching data based on font colors.
- BlogieFeb 23, 2022Copper ContributorThank you Riny_van_Eekelen for your fast answer. Unfortunately we receive tons of data from external with already formatted font colors. We just copy and past them into our table. To edit every single cell will take to much time so I want to find an easy solution for the givin data.
