Excel freezes computer.

When I copy and paste an Excel my computer freezes for a few minutes.  How can this be fixed?

    I keep having to restart my entire computer because a very simple spreadsheet keeps freezing and locking up to where I can't even use control alt delete. I have seen this issue has been ongoing, why isn't there a resolution yet?

      I have been fighting with this same issue! Have you been able to get a real fix? This is beyond frustrating:(

    BET1940 

    Try it in advance by going to File -> Options -> Advanced -> in the Display area -> Disable hardware graphics acceleration... check the box there... and see what happens.

     

    If it didn't help, then do a safe mode start.

    Attached is a link that provides help for a few steps, including the start of safe mode.

    Excel not responding, hangs, freezes or stops working

     

    At the very beginning, make sure all updates have been done before going through these steps.
