excel 365 not updating stock prices, retreives only prior day close
Windows 11 based machine with microsoft 365, my spreadsheet worked great until yesterday, tech help had a workaround which did work yesterday, but not today. Won't retreive price, $ change and % change, shows description. The refresh all under data tab doesn't do the trick. Please help.

5CupsOfCoffee Same problem here for much of yesterday (function was restored in the afternoon) and today (not working as of 10:30 CST.) Certainly seems like a Microsoft issue.

I'm having the same issue
- Paul_MerciaCopper ContributorYes. Same issue. Just got off the phone with microsoft support and they sent me here.
I've experienced this a few times in the past - each time had to wait for microsoft to fix it on their end. At least now, they know its happening. - HRS2403Copper ContributorSame problem (3/17/2023). Macintosh Office 365, latest version). Same problem on two Macintoshes. Prices stuck on 3/16/2023's close.

5CupsOfCoffee I reported this issue to Microsoft Support. They said they would report it to their engineers and get back to me.

I'm experiencing the same problem since yesterday evening.
Is anyone else experiencing the same? Many thanks for your reactions.
- Paul_MerciaCopper ContributorSame. But in addition Excel is reporting that I need to 'check my refresh settings' because I'm not logged in - when I am in fact logged in. I've tried signing out and then back in - no joy. So it appears there is something wrong (again) at Microsoft's end.

philippedevos , I am experiencing the same on my desktop app. Message when refreshing data is to check I am logged in with an account that has a subscription. Of course I do have an active 365 subscription, and when I use the online version of excel it works like a charm. Looks like MS inadvertently patched or modified something that broke the desktop access.

rong007, is it possible to use an excel file on my computer with the online version of Excel, so that I can get access to those stock quotes?

My issue is an error message...." You need to sign in with an account associated with a subscription to use these data types" Going on two days now....5CupsOfCoffee
- philippedevosCopper ContributorWhen trying to "refresh", I get the message "You need to sign in with an account associated with a subscription to use the data types. Select Microsoft Excel fromthe top menu > Sign in".
I have already tried to log out and the again log in: same situation. It doesn't work!
As already mentioned here above, its likely to be a Microsoft issue. Lets cross the fingers for a rapid solution.- Paul_MerciaCopper ContributorChatting with Excel Support. They said Microsoft is aware of the issue and is working on resolving it.
- chalnewCopper ContributorSame problem.
