excel 365 not updating stock prices, retreives only prior day close

Same. But in addition Excel is reporting that I need to 'check my refresh settings' because I'm not logged in - when I am in fact logged in. I've tried signing out and then back in - no joy. So it appears there is something wrong (again) at Microsoft's end.
